Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop, Merino Wool and Silk
Description
In this day session with Penny Dixon you will learn the principles of the Japanese technique of Nuno Felting to make a beautiful, wearable artistic scarf. You will learn how to apply unspun wool fibres to a piece of silk and make a small sample. During the session you will be able to develop your design ideas and create your scarf with edging techniques for a professional finish. The fibres will become attached by a process of rubbing and rolling with soap and water. This day can involve a lot of physical activity including standing and rolling. If you have physical difficulties please talk to us about how we can support you!
