Description
Have a go making a heart, leaf or star to hang onto your favourite place! Learn the basics of willow weaving techniques at the Longton Country Market Day. The mini-make is a short activity around 10 minutes, and you can attend anytime between 10 and 11am. The mini make is one person at a time, but you can watch and learn while waiting, as the atmosphere of the Country Market will provide a delightful backdrop. Take in the sights of maker's stalls filled with crafts, plants, and food, and treat yourself to hot drinks and desserts while waiting for your turn. Don't worry if you're new to this, the mini-make session is designed to give you a taste of the craft without feeling overwhelmed. We will guide you through every step, making sure you have a great time while learning a new skill, as you immerse yourself in creating your own woven masterpiece. By the end of the class, you'll not only have gained a new skill in weaving but also have a handmade creation to take home with you as a reminder of your enjoyable workshop experience. Suggested minimum age 6 with adult helper

Chrissy Webster is a community artist, maker and teacher of fused glass, copper foiling, glass mosaics, batik, felting, perfumery, as well as other crafts. She teaches throughout the North West and is based in the Lancashire area.
