Make your own wedding rings - jewellery making workshop

Description

Spend a very special day together in The Studio at Millbank jewellery workshop and create your own wedding bands. In this private workshop for just the two of you, you will be guided through the ring making process. You will learn to size your ring, add texture to the surface, solder, finish and polish your ring so that you can exchange it with your loved one on your wedding day. You can choose to make your ring in silver, 9ct or 18ct gold (yellow, rose or white), or platinum. The workshop will take place at The Studio at Millbank, Millbank House, Cumnock and is suitable for those aged 18 years and over. No previous jewellery experience is necessary and all tools needed for the class will be provided for use during the workshop. The cost of materials and hallmarking is not included in the course and will depend on the materials used for the rings, I will be in touch before the course to discuss material choices and provide estimate costs. The hallmarking process can be arranged at the end of the class and typically the rings will be returned to you around 2 weeks from being sent for hallmarking. As we will be working with tools, loose clothing should be avoided, closed toe shoes should be worn and if you have long hair it should be worn tied back. Please remember to bring glasses if needed as we will be working with small objects.

The cost of the private workshop is for two attendees and includes: - Guidance prior to the class in relation to the metal preference for your rings. - Access to the tools needed to create your rings. - Tuition in making your rings. - Lunch (dietary requirements can be catered for). - Tea/coffee/water and biscuits throughout the day.

The Studio at Millbank is an educational workspace for the delivery of jewellery making classes for up to 8 students. Nestled in the historic heart of Cumnock, deep in the rural Ayrshire countryside, The Studio at Millbank is a beautiful, light and airy workspace found upstairs in Millbank House in Cumnock. The Studio is home to Crazy for Ruthie Jewellery and as well as a working studio is an educational space for the delivery of jewellery classes and workshops for up to 8 students at a time. As well as an advertised programme of workshops, individual and group lessons can be booked privately.
