Make a Sea Glass Silver Ring - Jewellery Making Class
Description
In this 4.5 hour workshop you will learn to create your very own sterling silver and seaglass ring. Working with sterling silver, we will use traditional jewellery making techniques to create a made to ring, which features a piece of sea glass. The sea glass can be supplied or if you have a piece you would like to use you are welcome to bring it along. By the end of the class you will have a sea glass ring for you to wear and take home. We will learn to size your ring, size your setting for the sea glass, cut the silver, solder it all together, set the sea glass and then finish, shape and polish your ring so that you can wear it home. The course cost includes materials for a silver ring and a piece of sea glass if required. The workshop will take place at The Studio at Millbank, Millbank House, Cumnock. A maximum of 8 attendees will take part in the workshop. Suitable for those aged 16 to 94+, no previous jewellery experience is necessary. All materials to make your ring are supplied and all tools needed for the class will be provided for use in the workshop. Loose clothing should be avoided, closed toe shoes should be worn, if you have long hair it should be worn tied back and please remember to bring glasses if needed as we will be working with small objects.

The Studio at Millbank is an educational workspace for the delivery of jewellery making classes for up to 8 students. Nestled in the historic heart of Cumnock, deep in the rural Ayrshire countryside, The Studio at Millbank is a beautiful, light and airy workspace found upstairs in Millbank House in Cumnock. The Studio is home to Crazy for Ruthie Jewellery and as well as a working studio is an educational space for the delivery of jewellery classes and workshops for up to 8 students at a time. As well as an advertised programme of workshops, individual and group lessons can be booked privately.
