Make your own Enamel Decoration on Copper.

Description

Starting with a blank piece of copper you are going to saw out a shape, clean and prepare the surface and then sift powdered glass onto it before firing it in a kiln at 850 degrees celsius! You can then build up layers of colour with stencils, painting, stamping, and scratching to put your design on and make it truly yours, two pieces will never be the same! This workshop will have a maximum of three students and should take about 3 hours. The price includes all the materials and tools you need, and a cuppa and some nibbles. Workshops start at 11am, unless you are booking your own date, and then you can choose the time. I will be running seasonal workshops, December for Holiday ornaments, March for a Spring ornament and October for a Halloween ornament. Throughout the year you can book for you and up to two friends to come and do the ornaments of your choice. You will go home with an enamelled copper decoration and a copper one too, because copper is so pretty, and there will be periods of waiting for the enamelled piece to cool down. My studio is in Trecenydd Caerphilly, walkable from Caerphilly town/castle, just a short walk from Aber train station if you’re travelling by public transport. On street parking is available, you rarely have to go further then around the corner. Full details will be emailed when you book.

What's included in the price?

Use of all the tools required and copper and enamel powder. As well as PPE and an apron and a small snack and drink.
