Make Sea Glass Jewellery In Silver (Cornwall) - Ring/Pendant or Earrings
Description
In this class, we will make some seaglass jewellery.. you can either make a pendant, ring or stud earrings. You will be able to choose your own seaglass that you would like to set. You are also welcome to bring your own but there is no guarantee you will be able to use it (flat backed and with smooth corners are the most suited for setting in silver). If you would like to make a closed bracelet you can do so, provided you may for the extra metal. This usually works out to be an extra £15/20. However, due to how much larger the torch is to solder the bangle, I will solder the final join. This class is suitable for beginners and is an introduction to stone-setting and basic silversmithing techniques. We will break each stage down step by step throughout the class so you can leave wearing your new creation! I tutor up to 4 people in one session. More can be accommodated, but I will need to bring another teacher in - so only on request! This will take place in my studio in Penryn (near Falmouth), Cornwall. Please note, my studio is shared with a few other artists so there may be other people around while I'm teaching. Courses can be up to 5 hours long (varies depending on how many students attend, one to one's are often closer to 3 hours long). Age Restrictions Classes are suitable for anyone over 16; for ages 14-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. Please click the 'message the tutor' button if you have any questions at all!

FAQs
Depends which course you are booking onto and how many people are attending. If you are the only person attending, most courses will be complete within 3 hours. For groups of 3 or more you are looking at 4/5 hours for most courses.
If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.
There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
