In this workshop, we’ll dive into the advanced technique of reticulation, where you’ll heat sterling silver to create unique, textured surfaces that resemble moonscapes. Every necklace made is one-of-a-kind due to this process. Over 3 hours, you’ll try your hand at piercing and reticulation with guidance at every step to help you craft a necklace that’s uniquely yours. This workshop is all about creative experimentation, letting you create a pendant that’s truly individual. What’s Included: Recycled sterling silver to create your pendant Sterling silver snake chain – 45cm All the required tools Add-Ons: Hallmarking (optional): £30 per pendant Solid gold pendant: Your silver pendant can be used to create a mould for casting in solid gold, available in 9ct or 18ct gold (yellow, rose, or white). The final cost will depend on current gold prices. Once complete, you’ll receive both the original silver pendant and the new gold one. Gold plating (18ct Yellow): £30 per pendant Engraving on the back of the pendant: £40 per pendant Extra Chains: Sterling silver snake chain, various lengths: £15 9ct yellow gold chain (0.8mm belcher chain): £35 18ct yellow gold chain (0.8mm diamond cut curb chain): £75 Gold filled chain (0.8mm diamond cut curb chain): £30 Please note additional services require a 3-4 week lead time for each service. Maker
Emine is a designer-maker of contemporary jewellery. She lives in Whitley Bay and works from her studio at the Biscuit Box Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her work often explores amalgamation of materials and techniques to achieve harmonious wearable objects. She combines traditional silversmithing techniques with metal clay techniques. She shares her love of creating jewellery with others in her silver clay workshops within her studio and at six other galleries across North East.
