Come and join our monthly Lino Printing Class! Learn how to create your own beautiful linocut prints using a variety of mark-making techniques and print your designs by hand. You may wish to create a series of prints for framing as gifts or even create your own hand-printed cards or postcards to share. The great thing about Lino Printing is that you really can create anything you want! Learn how to: - Carve safely with V and U-shaped lino-cutting tools - Create interesting textures and designs using a variety of mark-making techniques - Transfer your design onto the correct paper - Experiment with colour using block printing ink - Ink up your lino - Print without a press (burnishing) You will finish the class feeling confident in designing, carving and printing your own handmade lino cut prints. No experience necessary, this course is suitable for beginners. The Dart is a community venue for all ages who wish to engage with arts, crafts and music. Our centre-run courses are led by professional practitioners or artists in hour long, half or full day workshops, including children’s holiday activities and cookery courses.  We encourage local artists to exhibit in our foyer, sell work or perform at open mic nights. The Dart boasts specialist rooms for dance, drama, art and music which are available for hire throughout the evenings and weekends.
