Hand leatherwork & axe sheath making workshop with Naomi (Fulford, York). Join Naomi, the lead leatherworker for Morgan + Wells, in historic York for a hands-on introduction to the timeless craft of leatherwork and axe sheath making. In a relaxed and inspiring environment, Naomi will guide the small group through every step of the process, helping you create a unique piece of craftsmanship to be proud of. With over 10 years of experience, Naomi will share traditional leather working techniques, including hand saddle stitching, edge burnishing, protective welt making, and the artistry of working with premium vegetable-tanned leather – a material revered for its beauty and durability. You'll also have the opportunity to personalise your creation, making it truly your own. What you need to bring: - Your axe - Your lunch - A warm layer on very cold days.
