Description
Learn To Spin Yarn - Beginners A half day (3 hours) learning handspinning, in a peaceful weaving workshop on a small holding in the beautiful Welsh hills. Learn the process of handspinning, from carding and preparing the wool and other fibers, then creating your own handspun yarns, working on a drop spindle, and if there is time progress to a spinning wheel. (If you would like a longer workshop with more time to learn and work on a spinning wheel, please see the full day listing option). You will also learn how to finish your yarn, and skein it and set the twist. The wools, and other fibers are provided for you, and there is are spindles, and a spinning wheel for you to work on during your workshop. If you would like to, you are welcome to meet the sheep during your visit. We have a flock of Shetland sheep who live with us on the smallholding.

I teach creative yarn spinning, beginners spinning, drop spindle, wet felting, creative crochet & knitting, recycled textiles, & wild weaving. I teach personal classes and group retreats.
