Learn to make a fabric basket using selvedges

X

Description

Learn to make beautiful sewn baskets using the parts of fabric that is often thrown away. It's a great way to cut down on waste fabric if you are an avid sewer or just love the idea of no waste and these baskets will have so many uses around your home. There's lots of nice details on these selvedges, from words to coloured dots. You can adapt the design to make baskets of different sizes, and have a lovely basket to take away on the day.

What's included in the price?

All materials are included in this workshop. Just bring your sewing machine (and a neutral /cream/white thread). If you would prefer to bring your own selvedge or scrap fabric, that's no problem at all. Just let us know when you book your place, and we can let you know what you need to bring. ** We are a small charity devoted to getting people into craft. We aim to keep our workshop price as low as possible in order to make crafting as accessible as we can. So if you are clearing out your cupboards, please feel free to bring anything to the workshop that needs a new home. This could include fabric left over from a project, craft supplies you don't think you will use, habadashery or acrylic paint. We will use it to run future workshops, create tutorials or make sure that it put to good use. **
