Description
Make a traditional knife in our rural Herefordshire forge and discover the fundamentals of bladesmithing. Morning and afternoon sessions are available. This is a one-day knife-making course designed for both beginners and those who have prior experience of blacksmithing. Our expert team will guide and support you through each process in the design and forging of your own unique knife. Discover the fundamentals of knife-making and learn the traditional techniques involved. Whilst your blade is annealing you can enjoy lunch either in the open air in our picnic area or, if you prefer, take advantage of our Scandinavian lodge or Shepherds hut. We do welcome family and friends to join you for lunch and to share in your experience as a blacksmith. The types of knife you can design and forge with us include: Kitchen knife Hunting knife Bush craft knife Re-enactment knife Fishing knife Woodwork tool ….to name just a few This is a fantastic 6 hours of fun, taught in a relaxed and friendly environment, where you will be made to sweat but will leave at the end of the day with a blade that you will cherish forever – along with a special story to be told. This experience day is for over 18’s. However, 16 and 17-year-olds are very welcome if accompanied by an adult.
