Jointed Santa - Adult Improvers/Intermediate Needle Felting Workshop

Adult improvers/intermediate needle felting workshop! Taking place at The Art Yard gallery in Cradley Heath, from 10am-5pm this is an adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at adults (18+) that have done a few needle felting projects before and have a good grasp of the basics... if you have reached the stage where you are looking to have a go at a bigger and more detailed project then this is the workshop for you! Types of wool, needles and processes are explained and then you will use different techniques to create a santa figure in the colour of your choice. You will be able to make your Santa your own by making choices about his costume and embellishment. Towards the end of the workshop you will be shown how to thread joint him so that his arms and legs are pose-able. Booking essential. Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall. In 2017 she had work selected for the National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project". She currently has work on show at The Art Yard and is part of the George Stubbs inspired exhibition at Normanby Hall and Country Park. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies.
