Join Louise Ralphs from LouPaper for an improvers modern calligraphy workshop. Perfect for anyone that has attended a beginners workshop, or those that have a basic understanding of modern calligraphy. You will learn how to develop your own unique modern calligraphy style, improve your overall technique and be introduced to metallic ink and different surfaces. Working on a written quote or phrase, we will focus on improving your overall modern calligraphy technique, exploring spacing, joining and proportions, with the aim of creating a finished piece at the end of the class. The cost includes your very own calligraphy kit (worth £15); a metallic ink, pen, nib and coloured cards and tags, along with a workbook of exercises and tips, so you can continue practicing at home. You’ll learn to create beautiful cards and tags to wow your friends and family. This class is perfect for those looking to unlock their creativity and explore the art of calligraphy. There will be plenty of time to practice as well as 1-to-1 guidance throughout the class, helping you to find your flow. For those who have been developing their practice at home, please do feel free to bring along and share any projects that you’re working on or need any help with. Please wear suitable clothing, that you don’t mind getting ink on. All resources will be provided.

If, having booked, you cancel your booking, we are unable to offer a refund. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
