Description
Over 2 days - 28th June and 23rd August, 5 hours per day, you will learn how to use a drop spindle and a spinning wheel. The course covers mechanics, co-ordination, drafting skills and plying. You will produce 2 bobbins of yarn over the 2 days. The material you use is scoured, clean fleece from local sheep. You will have lots of fun learning these skills. It is a very relaxed course which takes place in East Sussex. There is a gap between the two days to allow you to practise using a drop spindle which we shall lend to you. The gap in time also gives you the opportunity to purchase your own wheel IF you wish. We would encourage you to bring your own wheel to the second part of the course. We are very happy to answer any questions and give guidance.

All materials and equipment are supplied on both days. Please bring a packed lunch. Tea, coffee, biscuits, cake and FUN are supplied.
