Description
Step into the enchanting world of fused glass—like Alice through the looking glass! Glass fusing, an art form dating back over 4,000 years and predating glassblowing, was once used to create jewellery and small decorative items. Today, we bring this ancient craft to life with modern techniques, preserving its timeless charm while expanding its creative possibilities. Glass fusing is a captivating technique where you arrange colourful glass pieces into a design, and heat them in a kiln to melt and fuse into a single, smooth artwork. This process opens up endless possibilities for creating stunning jewellery, vibrant coasters, unique plates, and eye-catching art pieces—all with brilliant colours and textures. Easy for beginners and exciting for seasoned artists, glass fusing offers a fun, creative way to make beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations that bring light and colour to any space. Join us for a hands-on experience with expert guidance, allowing you to confidently explore techniques like layering, firing, and shaping glass to create stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces. You’ll also connect with a community of creatives, making unique items that add beauty and character to your surroundings. By the end of the day, you’ll take home two beautiful 10cm x 10cm glass creations that can serve as coasters, nightlights, or decorative pictures. Nightlights are not included but can be purchased online as there is a variety to choose from.
