Full Day Silversmithing 10-4pm

X

Description

A fabulous opportunity to try your hand at silversmithing. In this full day silversmithing you will spend the first part looking at different techniques. Measuring for a ring, sizing, sawing, filing, soldering, shaping and forming, pickle and polishing. By the end of the workshop you will have several finished pieces of jewellery to wear & enjoy. You will work in copper first. Next you can try hand stamping so that a message can be written or patterning can be created. In the full day you will have enough silver to complete one or more of the following: - A set of stacking rings - A couple of bangles - A pair of earrings You will float out of the studio with solid silver items to be proud of. If you are Speedy Gonzales and have time left, you are more than welcome to make additional items should there be time. We simply ask for the cost of any additional silver used. But don't forget you will need to squeeze in slices of all our delicious freshly baked cakes as well as our homemade lunch. Teas, cold drinks and coffee from our wonderful bean to cup coffee machine are available all day, and maybe a little glass of bubbly before you leave us for the day.

FAQs

We are a less than 10 minutes drive from Moreton in Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold in the North Cotswolds.
Kingham railway station is also around 10 minutes drive away with hourly trains into London Paddington.

Our address is Station House, Adlestrop, GL56 0YF.
We can be tricky to find and the postcode takes you into the village not to our location.

From Stow on the Wold, stay on the A436, do not turn into Adlestrop village. After the ‘Lower Oddington’ sign, our driveway is on the left immediately before the railway bridge.

From the opposite direction (Chipping Norton) also do not be tempted to turn off the A436 to Adlestrop village, stay on & we are immediately after the Adlestrop railway bridge, on the right.
It’s a sharp hairpin, but go slow and you’ll be fine!

Every 3 metre square has a precise what3words address. Tap to see exactly where it is:
