"Had a smashing day with Bob and Del! Bob fully explained the kit and how to use it, and we had the opportunity to try burning on a variety of textures, and we both came away with beautiful cheese boards and cooking spoons, plus various small items that we’d produced during the day. Had a lovely lunch with Bob’s wife Del and we were spoiled with some Welsh cakes and Bara Brith! Found pyrography to be very therapeutic, really enjoyed the day 😄"

"This was an excellent course. With only one other participant we had loads of individual guidance and a chance to practice different techniques. I have had a pyrography tool for years but now have the knowledge to use it! Also a selection of pieces to take home, including a splendid cheeseboard. "5 star craft course. Having a 2 person to 1 tutor was fantastic to be able to have more in depth support and advice. Bob was an engaging tutor, we had some good fun and banter whilst doing our projects. I came away with a bag full of goodies and a real inspiration to want to keep practicing and refining my skill. It was the first time I’d even picked up a pyrography pen and I have respect for pyrographers as it’s not an easy art. Del, Bobs wife, spoilt us beyond belief with lovely welsh treats and the most amazing lunch spread and a surprise quiz which was excellent fun. Bob and Del were the perfect hosts and Bob is amazingly talented at what he does - both the work he sells but also teaching. Thanks for a great day both x"

"I had the opportunity to spend a day with Bob Neill and his wonderful wife Del in March when I did the Pyrography course at his home in Derby. I was already dabbling in pyrography alongside my marquetry but what I learnt that day took me to a whole other level. The way Bob teaches you about pyrography is very relaxed and you’re not aware of the strides your making in your capability until you look at what you did at the end of the day. The lunchtime break and food was great too!! All in all a really great course delivered by a very capable and knowledgeable tutor. For the price I paid, I definitely got more than I expected in learning and understanding. Thanks Bob. :)"

"We have just got back from enjoying learning the new skill of pyrography with Bob who is a brilliant tutor, who explained all the different techniques we needed to use on the various materials we worked on. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Bob and his wife Del , there was plenty of tea and coffee , plus Welsh cakes at 11, then the fabulous lunch provide by Del. The day just flew by and by the end of it we were surprised and very pleased with what we had both achieved. Mick took a bowl he had turned and Bob advised him of the best way to decorate it, it’s very impressive. We would definitely recommend this course to family and friends. A day to remember, thank you Bob and Del and the antiques quiz at lunch time was good fun."

"I was one of two attendees on this course 10 days ago. As a novice in pyrography it was a wonderful introduction and very good value for money. You have your own "workstation" ,and apart from a coffee break ( with Welsh cakes) and a lovely lunch prepared by Del, you are actively doing pyrography under Bob's expert supervision. All materials are included in the cost of the day , which flew by. I had a go with several types of wood and leather ,and there was the option to try using paper as well. My Granddaughter loved the key fob I made for her. This was a present from my wife. I can highly recommend it. I've ordered some leather pieces for my first project. I've "got the bug"....go and have a wonderfully rewarding day."

"This was a hugely enjoyable experience! The two of us on the course were made very welcome by Bob and his wife (excellent lunch!) Bob, as well as being immensely skilled, is a brilliant teacher and we were into the pyrography right from the start. The course was very absorbing (the time flew by) and carefully structured (I was a complete novice!)so that we could make, and see that we were making progress. I would highly recommend this experience, came away with interest, skills and materials to take this new hobby forward. Thank you Bob."
