Join me for a day DESIGNING, CREATING & GLAZING your own unique trivet/large tile and 4 coasters/mini tiles on SUNDAY 18 MAY in the bright and spacious Delanoy education room of the wonderful Farmland Museum & Denny Abbey in Waterbeach (near Cambridge) 🧑‍🎨🍃 DISCOVER HOW TO: - add texture and design to your tiles - embellish with 3D elements (sprigs) for decorative pieces - apply underglazes to colour (glaze) your finished tiles The whole procedure will be explained from start to finish by me and also with the aid of real-time footage on a large screen showing each step up close. At the end of the session, you will have designed and decorated one 30cm x 30cm trivet (large tile) and four 10cm x 10cm tiles (coasters). Once fully dry, all the pieces will be fired by me and can either be collected from the Farmland Museum, our studios in Upwell or posted out by arrangement ✉️ This workshop will held in the bright and spacious classroom at the Farmland Museum & Denny Abbey in Waterbeach (CB25 9PQ). Suitable for children 13+ accompanied by an adult. Blended Monkey is a husband and wife team. Our studios are based in a small village on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Our setting provides ample inspiration for our work, and is perfect for our woodturning & pottery courses. Louise (ceramicist) - I studied at the Falmouth School of Art & Design and I am interested in various art forms, design and applied arts. Simon (woodturner) - I love working with wood & exploring its versatility. I'm a member of the AWGB and APTGW.
