Creative Ceramics Workshop - Tile Making & Glazing - Blended Monkey

Join me for a day DESIGNING, CREATING & GLAZING your own unique trivet/large tile and 4 coasters/mini tiles on SATURDAY 27 SEPTEMBER in the Haddenham Arts Centre (near Ely) đ§âđ¨đ Suitable for children 13+ accompanied by an adult. DISCOVER HOW TO: - add texture and design to your tiles - embellish with 3D elements (sprigs) for decorative pieces - apply underglazes to colour (glaze) your finished tiles The whole procedure will be explained from start to finish by me and also with the aid of real-time footage on a large screen showing each step up close. At the end of the session, you will have designed and decorated one 30cm x 30cm trivet (large tile) and four 10cm x 10cm tiles (coasters). Once fully dry, all the pieces will be fired by me and can either be collected from the Haddenham Arts Centre, our studios in Upwell or posted out by arrangement âď¸ The workshop is taking place at the Haddenham Arts Centre which has its own cafĂŠ where you can have lunch: workshop participants are entitled to a 10% discount. Do pre-order when you arrive and let the staff know you are a student - or you are of course welcome to bring your own packed lunch or use facilities in the village. Message the tutorBlended Monkey is a husband and wife team. Our studios are based in a small village on the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Our setting provides ample inspiration for our work, and is perfect for our woodturning & pottery courses. Louise (ceramicist) - I studied at the Falmouth School of Art & Design and I am interested in various art forms, design and applied arts. Simon (woodturner) - I love working with wood & exploring its versatility. I'm a member of the AWGB and APTGW.
