Collage Your Own Tiles - the art of using de-cals for mosaic
Description
We're delighted to be hosting this very popular workshop at Grit Studios in Stockport which provides an opportunity for you to experiment with collage and learn how to permanently fix your own images to kiln-fired tiles. We're making it as interesting as we can for you. There will be lots of time for both creative experimentation and technical learning. The workshop will include some fun warm up exercises; collage work; working with clay to make your own hand-made stoneware tiles and applying de-cals to ready-made manufactured tiles. After the workshop, we will dry out and kiln-fire all your pieces and then carefully pack and send them out to you when they're ready.
What's included in the price?
All materials and kiln firings are included in the price, together with the packing and postage for sending your completed pieces out to you. Tools will be provided and plenty of refreshments throughout the day. Please bring a packed lunch.
