Description
Taking place at The Art Yard gallery in Cradley Heath, from 10am-1pm, this is an adult needle felting workshop with tutor Natalie Harris (Brooks). Natalie is a fine artist using needle felting and the creator of Roly Poly Ponies. This workshop is aimed at adult (18+) beginners and first time felters. Types of wool, needles and processes are explained, and then you will be guided through the process, step by step, whilst Natalie makes along with you whilst you create either a chicken or a rooster in the colour of your choice. This session will be followed be a friendly felting session (see events for more details), but this is designed as a friendly felting group where you can bring an unfinished project or start a new one in a supportive atmosphere... see my social media for more info. Maker
Natalie is a fine artist that has been using needle felting as a part of her practice since 2015. Natalie uses felting in both 2D and 3D works and has had work shown nationally including the RBSA, Society of Equestrian Artists, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and The New Art Gallery Walsall. In 2017 she had work selected for the National Trust owned Beningbrough Hall's "Oh Wise Owl" sculpture trail. In 2018 she was selected for the "Character Portrait Project". She currently has work on show at The Art Yard and is part of the George Stubbs inspired exhibition at Normanby Hall and Country Park. Natalie is also the creator of the fun and quirky Roly Poly Ponies.
