Description
Hand build and mould a set of small objects or tiles and learn decorating techniques that work across the set of objects. Experiment with slip colours, glaze materials and oxides. You will learn brush techniques, mark making and illustrative application. We will use decorating oxides and tools for textures and discover some of the exciting chemistry in glaze materials. You will finish the workshop with your own individual pieces and all the technical guidance you need for the session. I have 20+ years of experience working with clay and glaze. I have taught art and pottery in schools. I regularly exhibit my work and it has been commissioned by companies such as Aberdeen Standard Life, G and J Jack and Chateaux Villepreux. My work was featured on last years The Great Pottery Throw down as well as being featured in numerous media and publications.
What's included in the price?
