Description

My name is Kathy, I run a small business called Butterfly Barn Studio in the beautiful Hampshire countryside. I first got into candle making after I suffered a spinal cord injury and played at home, I used to work in pharmacy so had a clear understanding of the science behind the creation of fragranced candles. I ran some free courses and the feedback was amazing - here's a few comments about the course Bonnie - Attended a candle making workshop today and had a lovely time. Informative, yet fun in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful items for sale and to make. Would highly recommend. Fenella - Went to a fabulous workshop where I was taught candle making. I had a brilliant time, Kathy was kind, patient and enthusiastic and I was thrilled with my finished candle. The barn has lots of lovely things to buy and customise and it’s well worth a visit! A true little gem! So why not come along and learn how to make luxury fragranced candles and take your creation home to show your friends and family, A fun and relaxed atmosphere with Tea and Coffee as well as cupcakes! Select a day and message your preferred 2 hour time slot and I will do my best to accommodate you into the workshop

What's included in the price?

All course materials are provided A choice of containers, Soy Wax (vegan friendly) , a Huge selection of fragrance oils to choose from to create your own beautiful candle. Additional supplies can be purchased to refill and remake your candle once it has been used so eco friendly too.

Don't worry if you aren't local we also offer a Bed & Breakfast Crafting Retreat! Kathy is informative, flexible and supportive helping you to realise your crafting ideas. If I don't have a course that you would like to do then please send a message and I will try my best to create your course, I also hold 1 to 1 sessions again please feel free to send me a message - see you soon!

"Kathy was a very knowledgeable and patient instructor, who took the time to explain all elements to us. She was well prepared and had even created special dated booklets for the specific session. We created a fragranced candle, some beautiful wax melts and then printed our own design on a soy candle. Throughout, Kathy was very patient and allowed us to include little extras such as crystals and ribbon to make them look even more special. Fantastic session and highly recommend. "
