Description
In this Camp Metal Clay 101 two-day course, students will learn all of the fundamental skills required to work with metal clays and be successful with metal clay products. You will practice fundamental techniques including rolling, texturing, cutting, carving, sculpting, moulding, refining, firing and polishing. Extra time is devoted to discuss firing processes and each student learns torch firing and kiln firing techniques. You will make five projects including a of pair earrings with a fireable stone, a double textured pendant with syringe detail, wrapped beads, a sculpted toggle clasp and a wrapped ring with a fireable stone. The class utilises a variety of metal clays to ensure each student learns the appropriate usage of each type of clay. You will need to purchase your own metal clay. We will be offering a metal clay pack for all the 5 projects plus ancillary items to enable you to complete the projects. This two day course is £295 plus a clay materials pack of £144.00 in person. The Projects: - Wrap around ring with CZ - Layered and textured pendant - Wrapped beads - Toggle clasp - Drop earrings with CZ Upon completion of the projects and course content, students will take a short written test.
