This is the perfect course for total beginners as you will be guided through a range of wire techniques, including, twisting, forging, melting, soldering, forming, filing, stone setting, and finishing to build your skills in jewellery making. Tutor – Jess Staples-Hull January 2025 (6 weeks from 22nd Jan). Week 1 – Stacking rings or pendant. Week 2 – Forged ring or pendant (choose from snake design or flower). Week 3 – Wire earrings or pendant with cabochon stone setting.
What's included in the price?
Materials are in addition to your course fees and can be purchased from Jess during the course. If you would like to bring your own materials, this information will be sent to you weekly, and will depend on your design and choice of stones. Materials will range from £20-£50 depending on your designs and stones of choice.

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
