One-on-one 8 week Silversmithing Course. This course is aimed at beginner silversmiths. Giving you an insight into the of traditional techniques of silversmithing covering raising, forming and fabricating. Beginners - you will focus on a short project to introduce you to some key silversmithing techniques. We will focus on making a tealight holder. Intermediates - you can focus on a prescribed project by Charlotte or come with your own design that you would like advice and direction on. Options include raise a bowl; make a jug; make a box. A great introduction for beginners and perfect practice for those wanting to increase their skill. *please note that you will be working mostly in copper, should you choose to work in silver there will be a small additional fee depending on what you would like to make. The Silver Duck was founded in 2012 by Bristol based award-winning silversmith Charlotte Anne Duckworth. Designing and making beautiful pieces of cutlery and tableware from sterling silver and locally sourced English holly, Charlotte creates exquisite yet functional pieces of art for the kitchen. Owned by Heston Blumenthal. A recent collaboration chef Michael Wignall, led to the creation of the ‘Canape Platter’ which won the Bronze award at Goldsmiths Craft and Design awards 2019.
