Want to make your own Mitsuro Hikime wax at home? You will get 250g of raw material. Instructions on how to make your wax and then how to work with your wax once made is also included. Tools you will need (in addition to this kit): small sieve, fabric mesh/muslin, wax melting machine (the kind used for hair removal works, approx £15/$20 online), silicone moulds to pour wax into (any for cake baking, soap making will do). This specialist wax gets warmed with your body heat, then kneeded. After this you can start to pull it apart (similar to American taffy) and create beautiful abstract forms and jewellery. Anything you make will need to be sent off for lost wax casting (it's incredibly brittle so unsuitable for sand casting).
