Great for beginners, choose to make either an incredibly sculptural round Zarzo or still striking but more practical rectangular Zarzo basket. Due to demand, for several years now Sarah Le Breton has been teaching these wonderful baskets that were developed by Danish basketmaker Ulla Misser. Whilst making this basket you will use willow locally grown on the Somerset Levels. You'll also find out more about this wonderful heritage craft and learn how to harvest and prepare your own willow.

All materials, tools & refreshments included. Sarah has also teamed up with a lovely local caterer to offer you a delicious homemade lunch. £10 payable on the day by card or cash.

With over a decade of teaching experience, Sarah offers 1 - 2 day willow basketmaking workshops for both beginners and those with existing willow weaving experience. Being passionate about natural materials and skilled traditional craftsmanship, Sarah has designed and created for you several different workshops that explore willow weaving, English basketry techniques and enable you to create your own truly special baskets and sculptures. All workshops are held in Mid Devon, (just 15 minutes from Junction 27 of the M5, 5 minutes. from the A361 dual carriageway), and through teaming up a lovely local caterer, not only do you receive expert tuition in a great venue but a delicious lunch too!
