Description
During this one-day workshop, you will learn how to wrap and weave a striking, bespoke, wall art panel to complement and brighten up your home. In a small group, you will be amongst like-minded, crafty, colour loving folk with a passion for making. You will enjoy a relaxed and fun day, leaving WRAP with a beautifully finished piece of framed artwork and all the necessary skills to continue making and creating at home. No previous craft skills are necessary! – the class is designed as an introduction to off loom weaving where no loom is required and you will create a bespoke woven panel, covering all the essential techniques. WRAP will be taught at Sandy Shore Broadstairs, the interior award winning Art Deco home, Airbnb and shoot location of your tutor, Sam Goldbrom. What you’ll learn: During the class, you will select the perfect combination of colours to start your weaving journey. You are invited to bring any colour inspiration you may have collected to help you with your colour choices. You will be shown the method of wrapping and hand weaving off of the loom on wooden panels. Weaving in this way is a mindful, relaxing and rewarding process that enables you to create and chat as you progress. Once you have wrapped and woven your panel, you will be shown how to finish the backing and frame your artwork with the wooden frame provided, ready to take home and display.
