Learn wire forming techniques and cabochon stone setting on this 3-hour silver jewellery making course. You will be gently guided through a multitude of silver jewellery techniques to enable you to make a pendant or a pair of earrings in wire and add a pre-made stone setting to your design. You will learn how to: Form wire using pliers, mallets and formers File wire to create good connections for soldering Solder your forms and cabochon stone setting Sand your work to create even surfaces Set a cabochon stone into your work Polish your piece Materials are in addition to your course fees and will be approximately £7-£15 depending on your design and choice of stone. Suitable for beginners and those with some experience are welcome too

Maker
I was interested in making and designing from a very early age and developed my first jewellery range in 2000. I then discovered my love for teaching in 2004 and have been developing my courses ever since. I have a home teaching studio for 1:1 & 1:2 sessions and in 2017 I set up a teaching studio at Yardley Arts where I can teach up to 11 learners. Qualifications: BA in Designed Metalwork and Jewellery from BCUC and MA Royal College of Art Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery.
