Join us for a day of greenwood working. Make a hazel wattle hurdle as a team at this beautiful woodland and campsite. Learn the skill of weaving with green hazel. We will take you through material selection and show you the steps taken to complete a wattle-hurdle by hand.

Maker
Danny has been working in the conservation sector for 15 years. He has a BSc in Countryside Conservation, was awarded a hedgelaying competency certificate from Hedgecraft Training and has passed his Mountain Leader Award with Mountain Training. He is fully qualified in Outdoor First Aid (level 3). He also has a bushcraft competency certificate from the Institute of Outdoor Learning. He has been teaching bushcraft and rural skills using hand tools for over 12 years. His Instagram is #indigenous_journey. He also has Lantra awards in Tractor driving, Dry Stone Walling (level 2) and NPTC awards in tree felling and Brushwood chipper operations.

FAQs
We have a covered area where the course can take place if the weather is wet and cold. If it's dry, we will be outside for most of the day. There's a covered area for lunch (please bring a packed lunch).
Yes, there are toilets very close to the course area.
No, lunch will not be provided. We invite attendees to bring a packed lunch.
