Join us for a wonderful two hours of relaxing painting In our short 4 week FRIDAY MORNING CLASS - 10.00am to 12.00pm. Bring Autumn into your home and learn how to paint beautiful seasonal plants, trees and flowers and landscapes using a variety of watercolour techniques. Discover the magic of colour mixing and how to create wonderful effects using a variety of exciting water based mediums. These classes are suitable for both absolute beginners and for those wanting to improve their painting skills. As a freelance artist and qualified arts teacher (for over 25 years) I still work within the learning departments of many London based Museums and Galleries, schools, and charities, from the V&A to the Museum of London, AgeUK to Thomas Pocklington Trust supporting blind and partially sighted students. I develop, design and create various art based classes, workshops and courses. In the last 8 years I have also been running my own private Watercolour Courses - and One Day Art Workshops - these run at Wanstead House E11. Relaxation through Art is a personal practise that I have been developing and teaching for over 12 years, with an aim to exploring different ways to manage stress with a variety of simple yet stimulating art exercises which you can learn and practise in your everyday life. We usual have a small collection of watercolour paper packs, watercolour brushes, watercolour paint palettes etc for sale (all at cost price) for students to purchase if they wish.
Absolutely...
We are a 2 minute walk away from Wanstead underground station (Central Line)
There are also many bus links to Wanstead Station and Wanstead High Street.
There are limited free parking spaces for all Wanstead House members.
(Membership is £5 per year - £3 concessions)
Parking is not guaranteed - there are many pay and display parking spaces in Wanstead.
