Description
This friendly and industrious one-day upholstery taster workshop, is designed to introduce students to traditional upholstery skills, whilst reupholstering an antique or vintage chair, which they can take home at the end of the day. The task is to build up the seat pad using traditional materials such as hair, hessian, and calico, finishing it with the student's own top fabric. Chairs can then be polished to a high sheen, painted, waxed or even gilded when they get home. These chairs make pretty and useful chairs for bedrooms, bathrooms...wherever you please.
