Join me Artist Jane Johansson in this immersive workshop where we will explore creative expression and intuitive art-making inspired by the energy and presence of horses. Inspired by her adventures in the saddle and a lifelong love of horses she seeks to capture the quintessential nature of horse energy. She is a member of The Society of Equestrian Artists and her paintings are held in private collections in the UK and USA. Jane Johansson works from her studio in The Cowshed in Lewes, East Sussex where she lives with her family, horses and dogs.

Jane Johansson works from her studio in The Cowshed in Lewes, East Sussex where she lives with her family, horses and dogs. After graduating with BA (Hons) in Fashion Design from Central St. Martins she worked as a fashion designer in Paris before returning to London to set up her own fashion label - Ursula Bombshell. She went on to have a successful career designing costumes for Contemporary Dance and Modern Ballet and has been fortunate to have worked with some of the best choreographers and ballet companies all over the world including San Francisco Ballet, Vienna State Opera House, Stuttgart Ballet, The Royal Ballet, English National Opera, Czech National Ballet. As co-owner of Float Glass Design - a creative glass company specialising in bespoke architectural glass and site-specific glass structures and sculptures - she has created several Public Art Commissions for hospitals and public buildings , including a recent large-scale Glass Art commission for The Natural History Museum which is now a permanent feature in the entrance lobby . Her paintings are held privately in the USA and UK and is a member of The Society of Equestrian Artists.

This workshop is suitable for a variety of skill levels from Beginner/No experience to practicing artists. All have benefited and enjoyed the experience and activities.
No prior experience with Horses is necessary . You will not be riding them. We do ask if you have any allergies or fear of horses that you let me know.
