Come and join us for a superb introduction to ring making with silver clay. If you've ever wanted to learn how to make your own silver ring then this workshop is for you. During a packed 6 hours you will learn all about the basics of working with silver clay so no previous experience needed. Silver clay consists of tiny particles of recycled silver formed with an organic binder so it is eco friendly. It is a precious metal so we will show you how to look after every bit of clay, even your excess from trimming and your dust particles from sanding. Learn how to cut, texture and refine your piece ready for firing and then enjoy the magical experience of turning your work into silver. In this workshop you will learn how to create your own silver ring, size it, shape and texture it. And, once it's been fired in a kiln, you will be shown how to polish and finish your work ready to take home. And, if you don’t want to wear your ring straight away, or you’ve made it as a gift, you’ll get a lovely presentation pack for you to take it home in. All tools, materials and clay are provided so no need to bring anything with you. And, if you wish to continue your silver clay journey, there will be silver clay starter kits and tools available as well as details of other up and coming silver clay workshops.
