A perfect project for jewellery-making beginners. Bronze rings are linked together in an intricate chainmaille pattern called Byzantine. This bracelet looks deceptively complicated, whilst being easy to create and looking fabulous. The rings used to make the chain are made of fine silver-filled wire, which is a copper-cored wire with a fine silver coating. The coating is 100 times thicker than silver plated wire, so it will not wear off. The lobster clasp is silver plated. Each ring is coiled and saw-cut by hand, then tumbled for a smooth, shiny and strong finish. The completed bracelet makes a great gift for a man or a woman.

What you will need
Two pairs of smooth-jawed jewellery pliers are needed. I recommend a pair of flat nose pliers and a pair of bent nose pliers, but 2 pairs of flat nose or chain nose pliers will also be suitable.
