Scrappy Swirls Patchwork Quilt - Foundation Paper Piecing with Janet Goddard

X

Description

Patchwork with Janet. The Scrappy Swirls quilt is made over two Tuesdays, 28 January and 25 February 2025. Each day runs from 10.00 - 4.00. The price is the total cost of the 2 days. The blocks in this quilt are constructed using foundation paper piecing. Foundation paper piecing (FPP) is a very accurate form of patchwork and is perfect for blocks with intricate shapes. Fabrics are stitched to paper templates on the machine and then once the blocks are finished, the papers are removed. During the day you will work on swirly blocks and lots of tips and techniques will be given along the way. Janet has made her quilt using fabric scraps but thinks it would work with most fabric combinations. Students will be provided with paper patterns for three blocks and a master for photocopying for further blocks. In addition to spending your time crafting, Tudor Rose Patchwork offers a special lunchtime menu at O For Coffee for students. You can choose from a selection of jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninis, toasties and soups.
