At Schools and Colleges Fused Glass Making Course ( 2 Days )
Description
A two day Fused Glass Workshop for Schools and Colleges, students can create an exciting fused glass portfolio project. This course is exciting, differentiated, and practical to deliver in a classroom setting. Outcomes may include environmental installations; sculpture; and domestic tableware and glass image making. Day 1: In the practical introduction, students will develop an understanding of the opportunities by studying my examples and working in small groups to develop their own samplers with glass. Next students will be supported to develop 'Design Ideas' with paper through drawing, modelling, or collage. Day 2: Your students will be supported to develop individual outcomes in glass tailored to individuals' portfolio project or a project/design brief. Upon completion of the outcomes will go to studio where they will be fired in my state of the art glass fusing kiln, and then returned to school. This project is suited to Art ,Craft & Design and The Design Technology Curriculum at each key stage, and is also suitable for Post 16 college settings.

Paula is a Professional Artist, and a qualified teacher of Art and Design. She divides her time between her studio and teaching practice in a range of settings including her home studio.
