Description
Learn that raw savoury food can not only be healthy but totally delicious with this creative short workshop with Peggy Beer. We will have some fun making some fabulous raw dishes and then share the joy of eating them together! Foods are classified as raw if the heating temperature does not exceed 45C, as it does not destroy the enzymes in the food. You will learn how to prepare plant based raw savoury food using fresh ingredients, local and organic where possible, some will be slightly warmed up. Whether you are interested in a completely raw diet, want to add a few raw dishes to your meal repertoire or you just want to get to know a different way to be creative with food, this workshop teaches you how to prepare 4 plant based raw savoury dishes and will leave you with lots of inspiration and extra recipes to carry on your raw food journey at home. On this course you will: • learn about the benefits of Raw Food • gain an understanding of the 5 pillars of Raw Food preparation: Juicing, Blending, Spiralizing, Sprouting, Fermenting. • Learn the processes for making -Raw Soups -nut and seed cheeses for savoury dishes, such as quiche, pates and starters. We will be using cashews and sunflower seeds. -marinated veg which can be used in soups, vegetable side dishes, starters, Raw Stir fries etc -Raw seed ‘bread’, crackers and wraps • make 4 savoury dishes that are adaptable and can be changed according to your own taste if required. All recipes will be vegan friendly. Please inform us about any food allergies prior to booking and Peggy will be in touch to advise. Please bring your own knife and chopping board. Some parts of the meal will be pre-prepared with a dehydrator. All proceeds from our events and holidays are ploughed directly back into managing our 40 acre nature reserve.
