Description

Learn that raw desserts food can not only be healthy but totally delicious with this creative short workshop We will have some fun making some fabulous raw desserts food dishes and then share the joy of eating them together! Foods are classified as raw if the heating temperature does not exceed 45C, as it does not destroy the enzymes in the food. You will learn how to prepare plant based raw desserts food using fresh ingredients, local and organic where possible, some will be slightly warmed up. Whether you are interested in a completely raw diet, want to add a few raw desserts food dishes to your meal repertoire or you just want to get to know a different way to be creative with food, this workshop teaches you how to prepare 4 plant based sweet raw dishes and will leave you with lots of inspiration and extra hand out recipes to carry on your raw food journey at home. A great piece of dessert or a great slice of cake is a combination of many aspects, coming together in one delicious bite. Just like the desserts and cakes we might be more familiar with, raw desserts and cakes have a variety of shapes, sizes, textures, layers and tiers. Raw cakes and raw desserts foods are generally desserts made from a blend of nuts, seeds, coconut and cacao products, fresh and dried fruit, natural sweeteners such as maple syrup, and plant based milks such as almond or coconut and spices. You will learn how to make easy raw desserts that don’t involve any soaking, sprouting, dehydrating or thinking much in advance at all as well as the basics of some more advanced cakes that will require more preparation time. On this course you will: • learn about the benefits of Raw Food • gain an understanding of the 5 pillars of Raw Food preparation: Juicing, Blending, Spiralizing, Sprouting, Fermenting. • Learn the processes and steps for making Raw cakes – nut bases, different fillings (cashew cheese cake, fruit puree and ganache), frostings and decorations • Make 4 sweet dishes that are adaptable and can be changed according to your own taste if required. We will make Raw Chocolate Cake, Blueberry Cheese Cake, Raw Brownies and Raw Lemon cake . Shaped into a ball they also work as Energy balls. * Ingredients and recipes will vary slightly according to availability Go home with handouts that will help you to practice at home what you learnt on the course! All recipes will be vegan friendly. Please bring your own knife and chopping board. Please inform us about any food allergies prior to booking and Peggy will be in touch to advise.
