Description

Prong setting is a very specific skill that, when done correctly, can set any shape stone. In this one day specialist class you will learn a range of silversmithing techniques as well as how to use a variety of traditional jewellery-making equipment in order to set a beautiful beach glass stone (or you can bring your own stone or item) into a modern prong set pendant. As well as the materials needed to create your stone-set piece, we also provide tea, coffee, and biscuits, or feel free to bring along your own!

What's included in the price?

The cost of the class covers all of the materials that you will need to set your piece (including enough silver to set a 10-20mm stone, and the beach glass stone for you to use), but if you would like to bring in your own beach glass or other asymmetric stone to set then you are more than welcome to do so! **For stones bigger than 10-20mm, please contact us here at the school in before the 21st of June to ensure the materials are available for you on the day and to pay for additional materials in advance.** We schedule one hour for lunch but food is not provided, so please bring your lunch, or you can eat at one of the lunch spots less than a 2 minute walk from the school.
