Hand crafted, Powertex fabric sculpture Please choose from a Dog,Cat or Fox These will be created from a recycled jar or bottle, and other recycled materials and recycled fabrics. We will be capturing the character of the animals not trying to creating realism, this would take a far longer time than is possible in a few days. Height 12" to 16" tall. Anyone with a reasonable degree of dexterity, can create these sculptures: no experience necessary. Day 1: Create the armature. Day 1: Complete the sculpture. Day 3: Complete the colouring. This needs to be booked around 3 days later to allow the sculpture to dry enough to be coloured without damage. Please let me know via the 'message the tutor' button which one of these three you would prefer to create. If more than one person is attending and the choices are different for each person, this will result in a longer workshop as each sculpture differs in structural design so needs extra explanation. If this is the case then there will be extra fees to be paid on the day if the course runs over the usual time frame. They can be displayed in the garden as Powertex is weather resistant, however I would advise an extra layer of varnish to be added for extra protection. Because the sculpture needs to dry, it is necessary to come back after two or three days for a couple of hours to finish the colouring. Minimum attendance 2 Maximum attendance 4.

Inky Escapades is run by Karen Hewitt, Artist, & Certified Powertex tutor in Fabric Sculpting, Stone Art Clay, Mixed Media and 3D Flex. My Powertex workshops will give you a window into your own personal creativity. I will offer you the tools and instruction to create fabulous works of art; beware though as Powertex is a very addictive hobby and you may find yourself consumed by its magic. Most materials used are recycled. I offer small workshops for up to 4 people or 1 to 1 by arrangement.
