In this one-day introductory workshop, we’ll explore a range of different techniques, including bezel, or rub-over settings. We’ll cover the basic techniques of saw piercing, soldering, texturing, filing and polishing as you create a stunning pendant to take home and treasure. Choose from our vast selection of semi-precious gemstones to create exactly the necklace you want. The workshop will also give an overview of tab settings. Tab Setting is a great alternative setting technique that lends itself well to a bit of creativity and experimentation. It doesn’t involve any heat or soldering and lends itself well to set unconventional small objects such as shells, driftwood or odd-shaped buttons. It’s a great technique for anyone working with found objects, or for those who don’t have the confidence to work with a torch on their own.
