Photographing Bluebells

X

Description

Spend an enlightening day with professional photographer Adrian Davies, learning various photographic techniques, that will ensure you capture the best pictures of the native bluebells covering the ancient woodland of the Nower Wood Educational Nature Reserve. You will spend some time in the classroom discussing methods and equipment before going out into the woods for your practical sessions. Please be advised that this is a mixed ability class and therefore some extra time may be spent with the beginners. However, rest assured that everyone will be given ample time to take photographs and receive expert guidance from the tutor. Everyone should bring their own DLSR camera with a memory stick and fully charged battery (a second battery is advisable). Please bring a variety of lenses and a tripod if you have one. Tutor profile - Adrian Davies Adrian Davies is a wildlife and natural history photographer, author and highly experienced lecturer. He was one of the first people in the UK to use a digital camera over 20 years ago (the mighty Kodak DCS100!) and has been an advocate of digital imaging ever since. He has run workshops for organizations such as Nikon, the British Institute of Professional Photographers, the Royal Photographic Society, the Field Studies Council, the Royal Horticultural Society and numerous others. He has since written several other books and dozens of articles for various magazines. Adrian has been photographing all aspects of wildlife and natural history for over 30 years, both in the UK and abroad. Increasingly, he is covering environmental issues such as the effects of global warming, and the effect of alien species in the British countryside. He is also currently looking at how plants and other natural history subjects appear in ultraviolet light, and has recently published a book on Digital Ultraviolet and Infrared Photography. His pictures have appeared in hundreds of books and magazines.
