Painting classes one day a month

Description

A small, friendly class currently held on the last Wednesday of each month in the little village of Capel Dewi, just a few miles from Carmarthen. The tutor, Sarah Adams has been a full time professional illustrator and artist for over forty years specialising in Botanical, Wildlife and Countryside images. You choose your subject and she will help and guide you through to a finished piece, in your chosen medium. Whether you are a complete beginner or an already accomplished painter who wants to improve their skills, this class will enable you to progress at your own speed with individual tuition and demonstrations. Sarah has an RHS gold medal for her botanical paintings and regularly illustrates birds for the RSPB along with countless greetings cards and jigsaws as well as private commissions for horses and other animals. Classes are run in blocks of 6, you can pay in advance at a cost of £100 or come for a taster session first to see if you enjoy the class for £25. Please check with Sarah via the 'message the tutor' button beforehand as numbers are limited, also very occasionally the date may be altered or a class cancelled.

What's included in the price?

Class from 10am to 4pm with free tea, coffee and biscuits. You will need to bring a packed lunch and your own materials, I can send you a list of what's needed. I usually carry a small selection of brushes and papers which can be purchased. Parking is easy with disabled access, toilets and kitchen.

I have been a professional artist/illustrator for over 40 years specialising in wildlife, botanical, countryside and animals. I have illustrated a garden bird calendar for the RSPB for the last 25 years and my work can be seen on greeting/Christmas cards, jigsaws and numerous other products worldwide. I also, when I have time, love to paint in oils. My class is small but very friendly and I teach everyone as an individual to their own level from beginner to accomplished often with everyone working on a different subject!
