We love needle felting for many reasons but the fact that you can turn a bundle of wool roving into a 3D model in a matter of hours is immensely satisfying. The techniques in this tutorial are perfect for beginners and really easy to master so it makes a lovely creative gift idea for your mum, your crafty friend or anyone who loves animals. We design and hand make all of our craft kits using cruelty-free, 100% natural wool fibres in our Hertfordshire studio. Every single box is packed with love and the felting projects are all the product of our imaginations! Katie's mum was a keen crafter and always had some sort of project on the go. Sadly she never got to see our craft business develop. She would have been so excited to see it grow, and so proud! She passed away two years ago having battled for a long time with Alzheimer's. She loved owls and so Katie made this for her. £1 of Needle Felted Owl Kit will be donated to Alzheimer's Society via Work for Good.

What's included in the price?

Inside your kit, you will find some soft English ‘top’ and Herdwick wool roving, some super fine merino fibres, a specialist felting needle and little pin eyes. Our clear photographic instructions will guide you through the project, plus we have included a needle-felting basics guide full of our top tips.

You will need: A soft surface to work on. A felting mat is brilliant but a large bath sponge or a soft cushion will do if you are just beginning. Your finished felt owl decoration measures approximately 8cm tall. Be careful: Your needle felting needle is very sharp and brittle so it’s a good idea to store it in the kit box. Children under the age of 14 should be supervised by an adult. Contains small parts. This is not a toy. Please keep it out of the reach of children.
