A little note: Your needle-felting needle is very sharp and brittle so it’s a good idea to store it in a pin cushion or back in the kit box. Please keep it out of the reach of children.

What you will need: There’s no fancy equipment required for this hobby (which is one of the other reasons why we love it). All you need to get started is a comfy place to sit and a soft surface to work on. A large bath or car sponge is perfect. Failing that, a piece of foam or a folded scarf will do. This is important because it will protect your needle from breaking and allow you to create flat-felted pieces.
