Monday Evening Welding Course

Description

This evening course has been put together for people wanting to practice and brush up on their welding skills but are unable to attend during the days. These courses will run from 7pm – 9pm for 3 consecutive Monday evenings. You will be able to either MIG or MMA (stick) weld in our fully equipped welding school, using new industry standard machines and our materials. There will be a fully qualified tutor on hand for any tips or help you may need. The idea is to take enthusiastic people (male or female) that have never welded before or who just want to brush up on their skills. This will be an enjoyable and relaxed 3 evenings in our fully equipped workshop and enables our students to carry on with their new-found skills at home, in their garage or workshop. Should you wish to progress further we can do this with you with our intensive courses and City&Guilds qualifications for those wanting to get into the industry. There are many people that have a restoration project on an old car or motorcycle. How about those gates that need fixing or that broken part that could easily be fixed with a little knowledge of welding. That is the idea of this short course; to give encouragement to try something that perhaps otherwise would never be attempted. You will be welcomed into our comfortable reception area, where refreshments are available. Information. Please wear work clothes suitable for the environment. Long-sleeved garments are essential. A leather apron and welding gauntlets are supplied. If you are fitted with a heart pacemaker or wear contact lenses please consult your doctor or/and your optician before booking this course. - We have full comprehensive insurance. - Approved by an I.O.S.H Trained member in Managing Health and Safety. - Overseen by a tutor with 15 years of experience. - All Tutors are City & Guilds trained and regularly refreshed. - Full extraction of welding fumes is supplied to conform with regulations. - Up to date fire inspection certificates. - Industry coded welding tutor. Protective footwear is essential, if you do not have your own we can provide for a cost of £ 20.00 + VAT If you do not have suitable clothing or your own welders overalls, these can be provided at a special cost of £ 25.00 + VAT. The 3 evenings in this course is ONLY £185.00 and includes: * ALL Materials and consumables! *Refreshments * A start time of 7.00 pm finishing approximately 9.00 pm for 3 consecutive Mondays. * A short, but necessary health and safety talk. * We will discuss briefly how each process works. * Starting with arc welding. * Finishing with the MIG process. * How to set up the machinery for the arc welding process. * How to set up the machinery for the MIG welding process. * How to prepare the metal prior to welding. * Start welding using modern arc & MIG welding machines with ready-cut clean metal for both butt and fillet welds. * A tutor will be on hand at all times for advice and guidance. * What to look for in both a good and a bad weld. * This will be a fully packed day designed to give great value for money. Refreshments are supplied with the course price.
