Mitsuro Wax Creating + Jewellery Workshop - Make A Ring/Pendant/Earrings (Cornwall)
Description
In this class we will learn how to make Mitsuro Wax! Once you have made your own wax we will go on to create some jewellery. You can make a ring, one large pendant (up to 3cm) or some earrings (up to 1.5cm each in size). One of your pieces will then be sent off to be cast if you would like. If you would like your piece cast in gold this is also an option, but you will have to pay for the gold required (gold is x60 more expensive than silver so this may be costly!). This can be arranged and paid for on the day if desired. This class is suitable for beginners and is a great introduction to Mitsuro wax. The tuition is a bit lighter on this course, lots of being able to use this material well is mainly through play and practice. However, we will cover some basic techniques, and tools needed. You won't be able to leave wearing your creation... the casting process takes some time and I will post the final product to you within 3 weeks. If you have extra pieces you are welcome to take these home for casting at a later point. I tutor up to 4 people in one session. More can be accommodated, but I will need to bring another teacher in - so only on request! This will take place in my studio in Penryn (near Falmouth), Cornwall. Please note, my studio is shared with a few other artists so there may be other people around while I'm teaching. Age Restrictions Classes are suitable for anyone over 12; for ages 12-16 they will need to be accompanied by an adult who is also booked into the class. Please click the 'message the tutor' button if you have any questions at all!

FAQs
Depends which course you are booking onto and how many people are attending. If you are the only person attending, most courses will be complete within 3 hours. For groups of 3 or more you are looking at 4/5 hours for most courses.
If you are going to get hungry over the course of the session I'd advise bringing a pack lunch. There is tea and coffee available at my studio, but there isn't many shops within walking distance.
There is indeed, there is usually parking directly out front but if this is unavailable There will be parking available within the yard.
